Seri.co - A Mark for Certified Fabrics
2007.12.09
The Seri.co promotional drive for 2007/08, funded by the Chamber of Commerce of Como and by the Como manufacturers’ association, is under way. The programme will unfold in two main directions: efforts to encourage the development, in quality terms, of certified companies and of Seri.co approved suppliers and increased interaction with style departmentss and fabric purchasing departments, both of which appreciate quality-certified goods. The starting point is the valuable resource created since Seri.co came into being over half a decade ago, building on this to meet the needs of the silk companies and their customers. The Seri.co label, thanks to the enormous effort that has been invested in it, has notched up some major achievements as, together with the whole silk world, it has followed its chosen course: collaboration with over 100 companies has led to the definition of 23 Technical Specification sheets. It is these that have made it possible to develop the quality standards that must be respected by anyone applying to use the Seri.co quality mark.
The programme to support and strengthen Seri.co also includes the objective of gradually extending the values it guarantees, also to embrace the international SA 8000 ethical certification standard.
