With new creel technology made possible by the LaserCreel cutter, installing a new group of ROJ feeders may be up to 60% faster than before. The laser cutting technique used on the pre-galvanized tubes guarantees precision shaping of any type of groove.
The resulting advantages include the absence of grips, greater stability, fewer parts and lower weight. Assembly is simpler and faster than ever, and is always accurate.
The Tension Master (TEM) makes mundane weaving tasks easier, automatically maintaining optimal tension for inserting the weft.
The TEM is a positive brake, which can be programmed from the loom manually or through a self-learning system, that automatically compensates tension variations in the yarn when the diameter of the yarn package or yarn package change is reduced, or when the performance of the input or output components degenerates at the weft accumulator (due to wear or build up of dirt). The tension value settings and readings are displayed in graphic format for the operator to view.
When optimal parameters are detected, they can be saved and recalled in the future when the same type of fabric is being processed. The system works with all IRO/ROJ X2 feeders installed on rapier looms equipped with CAN.
For extreme or unique applications, IRO and ROJ offer the option of constructing a feeder tailored entirely to the particular needs. This has resulted in a new range of weft accumulators called XD X2.
The infinity of yarn variations (including coarse metal yarns) creates a need for a dedicated weft control. The XD X2 is configured to specific solutions, combining a quantity of variants to suit such a diversity of needs. The variations available include at least two versions of chrome-plated winding unit: polished winding unit and motor shaft, moulded winding unit and sensors and, lastly, winding unit with grooved surfaces. Irreversible rotation bearings can also be selected, as can different settings to separate the coils, tight closure seal to prevent conductive dust coming into contact with the electronics, three different types of eyelets, and a motor upgrade to 700 Watts.
The modular system can be used to process all types of yarn and thread:
• Glass fibre: civil and naval construction, car making, geo-technical interventions, coatings, printed circuits, model construction.
• Carbon fibre: civil and naval construction, car making, sports equipment and model construction.
• Kevlar: bullet-proof vests, belts, civil and aeronautic construction, sports equipment.
• Polyester: waterproof protective canvasses, tyre carcasses.
• Polypropylene: waterproof canvasses for agricultural use, upholstery.
• Nylon: airbags, medical fabrics.
Decades of experience in constructing weft feeders for all types of yarn are today combined in the XD X2, the top choice for special applications.
