Sometimes, in order to be able to meet the various requests on time, companies have no choice but to process larger quantities of material than are needed, because they do not have enough or adequate equipment for dyeing small batches.
The fact that some of this material will often not be used means that extra costs are incurred, on top of the already high costs of realising the samples.
Unfortunately, companies are still paying too little attention to this problem: indeed, an initial investment can quickly lead to savings, of both time and money, in the preparation of samples.
