Sampling and small-scale production: strategic sector for textile companies
Making sure that samples are ready by the deadlines set has always been one of the problems most frequently encountered by textile operators.
In recent years, there has been a progressive personalisation and diversification of demand in this sector, such that the number and variety of articles and colours have increased exponentially, creating real problems for those having to produce them to tighter and tighter deadlines.
It is not uncommon – just to complicate things further – to receive requests for adjustments when the work is already in progress, or requests for personalised variants from increasingly special customers.
It is clear, however, that one has to be able to present the samples if one wants to secure the orders and produce the articles.
